Leah Stupeck
Leah has been dancing since the age of 6 and has enjoyed her career
as a dance teacher, choreographer, and former professional
dancer. She graduated from Ball State University in 1999 with
a Bachelor of Science degree in Dance Performance and a minor
in Educational Dance. While at Ball State, Leah was a member
of the Ball State Dance Theatre. After graduating from
college, she moved to New York City to pursue her dream of
becoming a professional dancer. She made her break in the biz
by being cast in three movies: "Big Apple," "Off Broadway,"
and "Glitter" starring Mariah Carey. Leah also danced in "A
Hometown Christmas with Steve Gatlin" in Myrtle Beach, SC.
After that, she moved home to start her life with her husband,
Grant. She has been blessed to be able to teach dance since
2001 at various Fort Wayne studios/schools. Leah is currently
working at Homestead High School in the Fine Arts Department
as a dance teacher and as one of the Varsity Dance Team/Hip
Hop Team coaches. Her students have performed and competed
locally, regionally, and nationally. They have received high
honors at all competitions. Outside of teaching, Leah loves to
spend time with her husband, Grant, and their three miniature
dachshunds, Augie, Snickers, and Zeus. She is also the proud
mother of Joely May, born June 5, 2007.
