& Elementary Ballet
Pink leather Ballet slippers. 
 
Intermediate
& Advanced Ballet
Pink canvas Ballet slippers.
 
Jazz, Musical Theatre

Girls - Tan leather Jazz boot.
Boys - Black leather Jazz boot.
  Tap
Tap shoes will vary, depending on
each age/ability level of each class.
The instructor will select the style
and color.
 
Hip Hop
Black, split-sole shoes.
Durable, open-weave body
with rubber soles.
Competition Students
Ballet -- Black competition leotard and pink tights.
All Other Dance Styles -- Black competition leotard and pink or tan tights.
Black competition shorts permitted for all classes.

Other Dance Gear

In addition to leotards and tights, Steppin' Out has a variety of other dance gear available for purchase, such as shorts, t-shirts, hoodies, sweats, capris, fleece pullovers, and decorative dance-themed pins.

Custom-ordered warm-up jackets and pants feature the dancer's name 
embroidered on the left chest panel.

Ballet 
Students in 30-minute Ballet classes may wear
any color of leotard and tights.  Students in
45-minute or 60-minute Ballet classes are requested
to wear black leotards with pink tights whenever possible.
 
Tap
Tap students may wear any color of leotard with
pink or tan tights.  Shorts are permitted over the leotard.
 
Jazz
Jazz students may wear any color of leotard with
pink or tan tights.  Shorts are permitted over the leotard.
 
Hip Hop
Hip Hop students may wear shorts or capris, leotard
or fitted shirt.  NO pants are allowed.
 
Lyrical
Lyrical students are required to wear a black leotard
with pink or tan tights.
 
Modern
Modern students are required to wear a black leotard
with pink or tan footless tights.
 
Musical Theatre
 Same as Jazz.
Pre-Pointe & Pointe
 
Pre-Pointe and Pointe students are required to wear a
black leotard with pink tights.
 
Poms
Same as Jazz.
All dance shoes MUST be purchased at
Steppin' Out to ensure class consistency
and proper style for age/ability.
